Peace of mind is the best fireplace foundation.
Nothing adds ambience and warmth to a room like a flickering fire. Ask for PermaBase® Cement Board when you’re putting in a new fireplace or renovating an old one, and you’ll enjoy the peace of mind of knowing it was built to last. This quality product provides an exceptionally hard and durable surface that withstands prolonged exposure to moisture. When chimneys and porous brick fireboxes invite the elements in, our cement board helps keeps worry away from the hearth and heart of your home.

What is cement board?
Cement board – also known as backerboard – is specially designed for use in place of drywall behind tile in the wet areas in bathrooms and kitchens. It’s hard, durable, naturally moisture- and mold-resistant, and won’t rot, disintegrate or swell when exposed to water. It’s ideal for use behind tile in showers, tubs, backsplashes and countertops, and behind exterior finishes such as thin brick, stucco and manufactured stone.
