Meet Oakland, Calif., Winner Elizabeth Gleason
Elizabeth Gleason and her husband Patrick are new homeowners and new parents to a baby girl, Harper. When they bought their house, they knew their master bathroom was a room they eventually wanted to remodel but prioritized other updates. They entered the PURPLE-to-Perfect contest as a way to update their bathroom and – more importantly – solve the moisture problem they can see and smell.
The National Gypsum team arrived at the Gleason residence in July to share the exciting news Elizabeth won the PURPLE-to-Perfect room renovation contest.
As it stands now, the small bathroom is covered in moisture every time the shower is used. There is moisture on the wall and the floor. There is a bit of a musty smell, and their towels don’t dry all the way.
Interior Design Expert and National Gypsum Spokesperson Anitra Mecadon is planning to redesign the room to make the family’s bathroom more functional, fix the moisture issues, and use XP® Drywall and PermaBase® PLUS Cement Board to give the family peace of mind in the future.
